One of our main academy trainers is Dr Giuseppe Serpieri, here is a small personal statement about himself an his aesthetic journey.

Dr Giuseppe Serpieri is a highly respected vascular surgeon who specializes in a range of cosmetic procedures such as cosmetic vein surgery, dermal threads and laser liposuction. Dr Serpieri is internationally renowned for his development and use of innovative techniques and technology and is one of very few surgeons who offer procedures using super glue as a closer of the veins.

Dr Serpieri was awarded his MD in 1986 and attaining a specialist qualification as cardiac and vascular surgeon in 1991 at the University of Turin. Since 1995, he has performed cosmetic procedures for facial rejuvenation and body contouring using the most up-to-date techniques with excellent patient outcomes. In 2004, he invented the transilluminated endovenous laser coagulation technique (TELC), a cutting edge treatment for varicose veins that is now widely used.

Dr Serpieri lectures post-graduate masters students of aesthetic medicine at the University of Pavia, Italy. His research interest focus on innovative technology for leg, foot and hand vein care, with a focus on minimally invasive techniques as well as ‘soft’ cosmetic procedures for the face and body.

Course Contents

The Basic & Advanced combined Dermal Filler course will assist students in developing a much deeper knowledgeable input into the field of Dermal Filler injectables and will equip those with the practical skills required to start up on their own or work within a busy aesthetics clinic.

Not only will this course cover the basic aspects of dermal filler injectables but it will teach students how to reshape, recontour and reconstruct the most complex areas of the face, whilst working with clients to achieve their most desired but realistic outcome.

Entry requirements

Candidates must hold one of the following:

• Medical professional
• Level 3 Beauty Therapist
• Dental Nurse
• Physiotherapist
• Holds 6 months experience with needles (micro-needling, microblading, tattooing, vaccinations, phlebotomy and more)
